After six months on tour through the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, it’s time to upgrade the roadshow truck. Not only will the truck be fitted with the latest tires from Continental, the Conti Eco 5, but the air conditioning system will also be replaced and a few other small things inside the truck will be done.
A new map for the presentation system will also be added. All information on the HD 5 and HS 5 tires can be called up on this. These new features will be presented at the next roadshow stops to clearly illustrate the advantages and innovative properties of these tires.
But what information exactly will be presented in the future? We give you a little insight into the presentations:
Innovative tire solutions
The Conti Eco HS 5 and Conti Eco HD 5 are innovative tire solutions, both developed by Continental for mixed regional and long-distance applications. They share some fundamental advantages: for example, they reduce rolling resistance and thus help to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions. Nevertheless, there are some important differences between the two models that make them particularly suitable for different applications.
Differences between the Conti Eco HS 5 and the Conti Eco HD 5:
- areas of use and performance:
- Conti Eco HS 5:
- Specially developed for use on the steering axle.
- Designed for excellent mileage and even wear, which is particularly beneficial for long distances and regular driving.
- Provides remarkable grip and enables excellent handling in all weather conditions.
- Conti Eco HD 5:
- Specially developed for use on the drive axle.
- Designed for reliablea traction and robustness, which is particularly important in changing road and weather conditions.
- The robust tread pattern with full 3-D matrix sipes ensures impressive durability and performance.
- profile and design:
- Conti Eco HS 5:
- Design minimizes rolling resistance while providing good mileage.
- Designed for even wear and consistent performance throughout the life of the tire.
- Conti Eco HD 5:
- Robust tread pattern with full-depth 3-D matrix sipes provides excellent traction and stability.
- Designed to withstand the challenges of both regional and long distance driving while ensuring a long service life.
- carcass structure:
- Thanks to their advanced carcass structure, both tires are easy to retread. This extends their service life and contributes to greater sustainability. However, the specific carcass requirements may vary depending on the application to ensure the best possible performance.
- application focus:
- Conti Eco HS 5:
- Focus on mileage and even wear, ideal for long distance riding and regular use.
- Conti Eco HD 5:
- Focus on traction and robustness, ideal for variable road conditions and demanding rides.
