Netiquette

On the Continental Roadshow blog, this is where you come in: We welcome your opinions, questions or suggestions under the blog posts and articles. Only together we can create a safe communication space in which a lively exchange under fair and respectful conditions is possible.

To make it fun for everyone and for their protection, please follow these rules:

We discuss with respect

Our editorial team attaches great importance to maintaining this blog to the best of their knowledge and belief. Nevertheless, it can happen that you don’t like a post or that you might not agree with the comments of others. Even then, please always remain polite and objective! A respectful cooperation is important so that we can discuss here openly and constructively.

Zero tolerance applies here for…

  • insults and personal attacks,
  • discrimination, racism, and sexual harassment,
  • threats and criminal statements of any kind (e.g., untrue statements of fact, incitement of the people),
  • any comments that serve solely to provoke or disrupt the discussion.

The same applies to comments that serve the commercial promotion of products and services or which are created by machine (spam).

The consequences of a violation

Our editorial team always keeps a critical eye on your comments and moderates them. Therefore, if comments violate our netiquette, we reserve the right to not publish them in the interest of all blog visitors. This pre-control only serves to ensure the previously defined type of exchange and thus a safe and fair interaction with each other. In short: We don’t even want such comments to become visible and cause trouble!

Nicknames are okay

Safety first: Privacy is important and relevant for everyone. Therefore, you are welcome to comment with your first name or a nickname only. So, for your own safety, refrain from giving details of your address, phone number, email and so on.

Furthermore, it is important to treat other people’s intellectual property with care and thus to refer to or link to the corresponding author when using quotations. If you prefer to message directly to the editorial team and not leave a comment, feel free to send an email to roadshow-blog@media-continental.com – we look forward to hearing from you!
